Heuchert was born `77 in a small town in West Germany into a blue collar family. Odd jobs since 1994. First short story „Zinn 40“ written while in school. Then love, travel, small defeats, big defeats. His first novel Dunkels Gesetz was published in 2017 and received the Bellmer Price for debuts. German magazine SPIEGEL voted Dunkels Gesetz as one of the 25 most important books of the season 2017. Alte Erde, his second novel, was published in 2020 to critical praise. Rolling Stone called Heuchert therefore „a virtuoso of the gritty narrative.“ His work is featured in Germanys leading literary magazines, the lastest appeared in AM ERKER.
